Baptized member
Baptized members have been baptized in the name of the Triune God. This includes children who have not been confirmed.
Communicant (Communing) members
Those who are baptized can be received as Communicant members through:
The Rite of Confirmation, typically following a student’s 8th grade year after confirmation instruction
Transfer from another congregation in the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod
Profession of faith following instruction in an Adult Information Class, which covers the basics of what Lutheran Christians believe.
