Nepalese Ministry
As an extension of Ascension Lutheran Church, and in conjunction with Christian Friends of New Americans (CFNA), a Nepalese fellowship meets on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month from 10 am to noon. This community of immigrants meets at CFNA’s Peace Center on South Grand gathering for Bible study, fellowship and song, primarily in the Nepali language. While some of these Nepalese Christians have been confirmed at Ascension, many continue to grow in Christ as they undergo instruction in Luther’s Small Catechism on Saturday afternoons. Much of this work is coordinated by Ascension’s Nepalese Ministry Facilitator, Gagan Gurung.
On the first Sunday of the month, Nepalese members of Ascension gather for worship and the Lord’s Supper at the Ascension location during our 11 am service. We are thankful for the growth that God has granted this group, and we continually pray for His guidance as He works through us to “make disciples of all nations!”
