Our 4-Part Focus
How do we uniquely share Christ’s love at Ascension? We focus our stewardship in four specific areas. In all four areas, we seek to share the love of our crucified and risen Savior. As we share Christ’s love, we do so by considering our fourpart strategic focus. Why does this matter? Faithful, focused stewardship of God’s gifts enables us to serve our church and community today and tomorrow!
Worship and Spiritual Growth
We thank God for the recent worship enhancements, which allow for music of many genres and from different cultures, as we equip musicians of all ages to praise God. Our stewardship toward worship is evident in our care for our worship space.
Outreach through Word of Life
Ascension is a member congregation of Word of Life Lutheran School, which provides cultural diversity, academic excellence, and a Christian environment. It is one of two Lutheran schools left in the city of St. Louis, and its mission is vital to the community. Ascension cares for the campus that houses kindergarten through eighth grade.
Multigenerational Ministry
Our church family at Ascension cares for one another as the family of God. We are intentional about building opportunties for people of all ages to participate in the life of the church. Bible classes, youth groups, and more provide ways for individuals in all stages of life to engage with God’s Word and one another.
Christian Friends of New Americans
As a community of Christians in urban Saint Louis, God has provided us a unique setting in which we can welcome and show mercy to new brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world. Our partnership with CFNA is intentional about raising up new leaders among a diverse group of people.
