6/24: Scaffolding was erected

6/27 and forward:

Capital Campaign Updates 6/10/22

SUMMER IMPROVEMENT UPDATES. Hopefully you have had a chance to see the cleaned and painted choir loft ceiling. The scaffolding will remain in place as we explore options for improved lighting for the choir loft as well as for the stained glass window. The hallway restroom renovation is complete except for a few finishing touches. It’s so bright and inviting now!

Be on the lookout for scaffolding to be put up outside the church near the main entrance and on the playground side of the building. This scaffolding is to enable the roof repairs to fix a leak and to repair the damage done by the bees.
School remodeling began on 6/6, and will continue throughout this summer. When all is completed, the mess and the upset will have been worth it!

Capital Campaign Updates 5/29/22

By now you have seen the beautiful new stone chancel flooring. The carpet on the chancel steps was to have been installed soon, but supply chain issues have delayed the installation until August. For the next several months, the church sanctuary will be in a state of “becoming” as it is restored and refurbished from floor to ceiling. On 5/23, scaffolding was installed in the choir loft and that ceiling is being cleaned and painted, which should take about a week. The flooring in the sanctuary will be removed, the floor will be abated, and new tile and carpet will be installed. To accomplish this, the pews will be removed, one side at a time. While the pews are gone, the ceiling in the sanctuary will be cleaned and painted. Then, work on the pew refinishing will resume.

The Hallway restroom renovation is on schedule to be completed by 6/3. Be sure to bring your friends to the first outdoor concert of the season so that you can show off the redone facilities!

The church roof will be getting some repairs to fix a leak and to repair damage done by bees.

As part of the Capital Campaign, Word of Life will be getting two new restrooms, two showers and storage for reading materials. Contributions over and above those received as part of the Capital Campaign are paying for the remodeling of classrooms that will also take place this summer.

Wow!! It’s going to be a busy summer. When you see the mess and the upset, keep in mind that we hope to have everything back in place and better than before by the end of summer. Thanks to everyone for being a part of this
Campaign – To God be the glory!
